Manama, Bahrain, 02 September 2018: A call went out to corporates and individuals to support AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation’s Rayaat program which gives the opportunity to sponsor students pursuing their Baccalaureate, Masters and Medicine degrees. Sponsorship will be entitled for students enrolled for the upcoming academic year 2018-2019.
The Rayaat Program offers several benefits to students, including covering all university fees as well as book fees, monthly financial incentives according to academic attainment, access to workshops and training opportunities in different sectors. Rayaat also fosters the culture of ‘social responsibility” by instilling volunteerism and community outreach programs throughout the duration of the program.
The Rayaat Program seeks to organize workshops as well as educational and recreational courses throughout the academic year and create job opportunities in the public and private sector in order to develop the necessary skills and provide students with the necessary work ethics. The program also aims to promote social responsibility concepts and encourage students to participate in volunteer work to serve the community.
Rayaat was launched in 2011 as a comprehensive approach to education and personal development. The program provides students with scholarships at accredited universities in the Kingdom. In addition, the program offers financial incentives, enrichment workshops, work experiences, and community service opportunities within a supportive student environment. This year the program included40 scholarships for the Baccalaureate degree, along with Her Highness Shaikha Moza bint Hamad AlKhalifa Medical Grant in collaboration with the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland – Medical University of Bahrain (RCSI Bahrain).
