March 2017: Hosted a number of events in cooperation with civil society organizations such as A Child’s Wish, Batelco Child Welfare Home, Bahrain Diabetes Society, Al Hidd Center for Special Needs – Down Syndrome Center.

October 2018: Organized event for special needs individuals, which included recreational activities.

February 2018 / Children of Martyrs: Organized kids of event for children of martyrs. The event included a number of activities and events which were separated into sections: on-stage entertainment and activities.

14-16 January 2020: The Foundation organized a trip for winners of the Al Raya award, to Masdar city, as well as the chance to participate in the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week event. The trip aimed to educate students on the latest social, economic and environmental updates happening around the world, and encourage them to develop and create distinct solutions to confront problems they face in their daily lives in ways that achieve sustainability. It is worth noting that the Al Raya award is a unique initiative that was dedicated to distinguished members of the Foundation, and aimed to shed light, encourage and appreciate them for their efforts.

The Take Off 2025 is a one-day career and university expo designed to prepare high school students for their future. With a futuristic theme, the event brings together leading universities, interactive career workstations, and app-based assessments to equip students with essential soft skills and career guidance. Featuring a roadshow of nine universities, AI career advisors, gamified activities, and creative challenges such as a TikTok competition, the expo offers students an inspiring journey to explore opportunities, build confidence, and make informed decisions about their next steps.

February 2018: Organized a workshop under the slogan of ‘Innovation’ which included interior design by using recycled material in collaboration with the artist and designer Noof AlRiffai, where she educated participants of the Ithra youth program on the importance of preserving the environment.

April 2019 / Awareness competition on the importance of recycling: The Foundation launched an awareness competition aimed preserve the environment by creating a model made by using recycled materials, and the final shape can be reused.

A number of workshops were held on the importance of preserving the environment and recycling during the Ithra program.

February 2020 / Take Care of your City: In cooperation with the Southern Governorate, a number of students from the Foundation took part in the ‘Take Care of your City’ campaign which was launched by the Southern Governorate in Madinat Khalifa, where students participated in the afforestation operations in the city.

Nahj Charity Auction

Through auctions of art and sports memorabilia, we turn creativity into opportunity. In collaboration with established artists who donate their pieces, the Bahrain Football Association, and the Mazad platform, Nahj directs proceeds toward scholarships that help Bahraini youth continue their education. These efforts not only reduce inequalities but also bring the community together through strong and meaningful partnerships.

Goal 1: Eliminate Poverty

March 2017: Launching the “Be an Entrepreneur” initiative, which is aimed at creating a generation of entrepreneurs capable of better investments in financial and human resources, based on scientific studies through an educational training program. The program focuses on developing a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship appropriate for the age of Ithra students, with a strategy that promotes entrepreneurial thinking and skills required for learning the art of innovation with a systematic, thoughtful balance. Through this program, participants were encouraged to play the role of a businessman for the day, where each team was allocated a budget of BD10, where the initiative’s proceeds were donated to charitable projects.

September 2018 / Back to School Event: Organizing an event for 20 students from low-income families, where the event included several recreational activities, in addition to distributing school items and snacks. The event also included a simple lecture on the importance of studying. The aim of the event was to reduce the burden on families and spread the idea of cooperation among students.

June 2019 / “Farhat Eid”: The Foundation organized an event for children from low-income families, and provided them with shopping coupons. Members of the Foundation accompanied the children to join in them in the spirit of Eid, by helping them choose Eid clothes and accessories.

March 2019: 500 meals initiative, which included the distribution of the meals to laborers in Manama Souq located in Bab Al Bahrain.

February /March 2016 and February 2017 and April 2020: As part of the Ithra Youth program, a number of workshops were organized, which included the importance of choosing the correct education path in secondary school and explained the different university majors, as well as how to choose a specific major based on their interests. In addition to the career exhibition, a model was showcased to symbolize the prosperity of the Kingdom through education, to build the future of our youth and guide them towards excellence and the participation in the renaissance of our Kingdom and the stability in the workplace.

June 2015 / Iftar Saem at Traffic Lights: Iftar Al Saem is considered a great deed during the holy month of Ramadan, and instill the spirit of Ramadan in students, the Foundation allocated a team to distribute an Iftar snack which consisted of dates, water, savoury and sweet snack to drivers on the road during Maghrib prayer to break their fast.

June 2016: The Foundation provided Iftar Saem to a mosque in the Kingdom and the Foundation’s students were encouraged to participate in charitable initiatives throughout the holy month.

May 2018: Eid brings along a special joy, a group of particiapnts from the Ithra youth program distributed Eid food packages to ten Bahraini families.

March 2019: An initiative that included distributing 500 meals to laborers in Manama souq located at Bab Al Bahrain.

Distribution of Ramadan Hampers: For five consecutive years (2015-2019), the Foundation distributed Ramadan hampers to families in-need. Hampers were provided by STC Bahrain, as part of their ‘Jusoor’ CSR program. This comes as part of the Foundation’s keenness to participate in charitable events during the holy month of Ramadan, as well as aiming to promote values and ideals of the Bahraini society and the advancement of all its members and their needs.

December 2017/2018/2019 Diabetes Camp: The Foundation organized an annual event for children suffering from Diabetes, where the event included a number of activities and explained a number of methods of lending a helping hand and ways of integrating diabetic people into society with the cooperation of the Bahraini Diabetes Association.

April 2017 / Blood Donation Campaign: The Foundation held a blood donation campaign in cooperation with the BDF hospital and in coordination with the Rayaat students, which was held to benefit the Bahraini society.

February 2019 / Sports Day: The Foundation organized a number of sports activities and events on the Bahrain Sports Days, which falls on February 12 of every year. The purpose of this event was to raise awareness of the strength we find within ourselves through physical fitness.

September 2019 / Society Awareness Event: The Rayaat student council organized a ‘Society Awareness’ event to raise awareness of the harmful effects of drugs on an individual and society. This event is linked to Goal no. 3 of the Sustainable Development Goals, which are related to health.

November 2018 / First Aid Course: The Foundation organized a first aid course in cooperation with the Red Crescent Society and the Civil Defence School, where participants receive an approved license after the completion of the course. The course included theoretical and practical cases on how to deal with emergency situations and injuries such as burns, fractures, fainting, fire suppression, etc.

October 2019 / Cancer Patient Event: The Foundation participated in a charity event to support breast cancer patients in Saar Mall. At the event, the Foundation showcased its services to visitors, as well as showcased moral support.

February 2015/2018: The Foundation organized campaigns for blood pressure and diabetes, as part of the Ithra program, as well as a number of lectures on the importance of enjoying a healthy lifestyle for young people.

Carried out an awareness campaign on the dangers of smoking, which was considered significant as an ex-smoker shared their story about quitting smoking, in which he explained how to quit by referring to his personal experience.

Prevention of smoking at the Foundation:

AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation prohibits smoking in all facilities of the Foundation, in addition to all the activities and events held outside the Foundation’s premises.

November 2015 / World Diabetes Day: AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation hosted their monthly meeting under the slogan of ‘World Diabetes Day’, which was held for students of the Rayaat program located at Isa Cultural Centre. The event included recreational activities, in addition to a lecture held by Dr. Saqer Al Khalifa, where he explained to students how to live with diabetes by adhering to a healthy lifestyle and how to extend a helping hand integrating them into society. This program included a medical examination of the level of diabetes for male and female students in the Foundation in cooperation with the Middle East Medical Center.

September 2015: Courses related to Microsoft Office and Photoshop programs were offered to students of the Foundation, where they were taught the basics needed to use computers and Microsoft applications, in addition to how to use the e-government portal. The course included practical training in order to make the most out of the programs.

September 2018 / Back to School event: Organized an event for 20 students who come from low-income families. The event included a number of recreational activities, distribution of school supplies and light snacks, as well as a short lecture on the importance of education and studying. The aim of this event was to take lighten the burden on families and instil the idea of cooperation between students.

March and April 2016 / 2017: Provided English language courses for participants of the Ithra youth program, to strengthen their language skills before attending university to obtain TOEFL, ILLS and SAT certificates.

May 2017: Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister, AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation held its first forum. The forum aimed at delivering the message of creating a positive impact for Bahraini youth and future leaders, by hosting well-known personalities to motivate students to be highly effective individuals. The forum provided a platform that enables all members to meet and discuss issues related to leadership, entrepreneurship and volunteering through many activities such as speeches, discussions, workshops and meetings. The Tamyeez program which falls under the Rayaat program received funding from Financial Grants Programme for Social Developmental Projects. The financial grants programme which is given by the Ministry of Social Development to NGO’s works on the provision of annual financial grants that are not previously specified, to Bahraini national societies that submit ideas on unique developmental projects in the field or sector that these societies operate in, which in turn achieve substantial results in services and programmes.

November 2018 / Key to Success workshop: An organized workshop that included a mix of practical and theoretical aspects, focusing on emotional intelligence (self-knowledge and how to deal with other individuals).

March 2019: Launched an initiative as part of the Ithra youth program, where participants renovated two classes in secondary schools in the Kingdom of Bahrain, to create an appropriate learning environment for continuous learning.

September 2018 – University Major event: Organized an exhibition for students moving on to university, to learn more about the different courses available, and contribute to directing these students towards suitable majors for them, which will help them choose the correct field for their future job.

April 2019 / Sustainable Development Goals: AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation held a meeting in April 2019 with students and graduates of the Rayaat Scholarship Program at the Youth Innovation Center. The meeting shed light on one of the most important issues which are sustainable development and the importance of recycling in order to preserve the Kingdom’s environment and adopting the best practices to protect it for future generations.

March 2016: The Foundation hosted an awareness campaign to encourage students to read during the Ithra program.

March 2019: Organized a ‘Sustainable Development Goals’ workshop with Dr. Najat Ishaqi, Active Member, UN-ECOSOC (Economic and Social Council for reviewing and following up on the progress on the implementation of Sustainable Development goals and agenda 2030, New York, USA. The workshop included a detailed explanation of each of the sustainable development goals. In addition to organizing a visit to the Bahrain Science Center to enhance the awareness on the importance of science and technology, and stimulate knowledge on scientific innovation.

The Rayaat program specializes in providing courses and workshops that address personal development aspects such as: enhancing self-confidence, self-development, developing public speaking skills, management and communication with other individuals, as well as strengthening students’ English language skills, which prepares them for entry into the labor market to play an effective role in society.

AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation Library:

The Foundation has established a library at its headquarters, equipped with modern equipment, aiming to provide all the necessary means and tools to facilitate the research and study process among students. The library was established to be an important reference for research of valuable publications that enrich the educational movement in Bahrain. Thus further encouraging knowledge and reading.

March 2017: Launching the “Be an Entrepreneur” initiative, which is aimed at creating a generation of entrepreneurs capable of better investments in financial and human resources, based on scientific studies through an educational training program. The program focuses on developing a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship appropriate for the age of Ithra students, with a strategy that promotes entrepreneurial thinking and skills required for learning the art of innovation with a systematic, thoughtful balance. July and August 2016/ 2017/ 2018 / 2019: Summer practical training program for participants of the Ithra program with the cooperation of companies including Fakhro Restaurants Company (McDonald’s), Al Salam Bank, Kuwait Finance House and Bahrain Airport Services Company. The training program aimed to devote the practical and a number of positive aspects among participants by strengthening the relationship between them, in addition to bearing work pressures to ensure success and adaptation to the work environment, and spreading a spirit of confidence in participants in order to achieve the values of taking responsibility and promoting the spirit of cooperation in working as a team.

Through the Rayaat scholarship, AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation provides a comprehensive scholarship inclusive of all tuition fees, for bachelor’s, master’s and human medicine degrees, in addition to the skills acquired through courses and workshops, which contribute to obtaining a distinguished job after graduation, thus ensuring a high income for individuals and a decent lifestyle in society.

One of the goals of AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation is to inspire Bahraini youth and encourage them to be creative and entrepreneurial, and this is done by offering a number of courses and workshops specialized in the field of entrepreneurship, in addition to organizing lectures with the participation of the most influential Bahraini entrepreneurs showcasing their success stories.

The Foundation enhances capabilities of the emerging class, through innovative physical and mental activities, in addition to providing them with the necessary life skills to becoming strong-willed individuals, qualified initiators of positive change in their lives and in their society. The Foundation also provides scholarships to students who have obtained a cumulative average of 80% or above, this guarantees students an opportunity to obtain a university scholarship and benefit from the advantages of the Rayaat program.

The Foundation provides health insurance to all its employees without exception, and all employees are registered with the Labor Market Regulatory Authority with fixed contracts.

The number of beneficiaries: An increased number of beneficiaries that have benefited from the scholarships and training workshops which include entrepreneurship skills.

Practical Training: The Rayaat program has provided many practical training opportunities for members of the Foundation in cooperation with several authorities, by providing practical training opportunities for several male and female students whom the Foundation supports to complete their university degree. The hands-on training aims to help students learn more closely about the work environment, cultivate confidence and give them the opportunity to build their skills and gain new experiences.

February 2018: Organized a workshop under the slogan of ‘Innovation’ which included interior design by using recycled material in collaboration with the artist and designer Noof AlRiffai, where she educated participants of the Ithra youth program on the importance of preserving the environment.
