Manama, Bahrain July 4 2017: Students from the Rayaat program, one of the main initiatives held under Al Mabarrah Al Khalifia Foundation (MKF), organized a fun-filled event for Al Sanabil children at the Isa Cultural Centre.
The event comes in line with MKF’s efforts to promote the sense of social responsibility among the youth.
The Chairperson of Al Mabarrah Al Khalifia Foundation, Shaikha Zain bint Khalid Al Khalifa thanked Sanabel Orphans Care Society Board Chairman Shaikh Adnan Abdullah Al Qattan, for allowing the foundation this opportunity to host an event that aimed to foster teamwork and a sense of giving among the students.
She also extended her thanks and appreciation to the management of Isa Cultural Centre for offering the venue and supporting MKF.
“I am proud and happy with all the Rayaat students who portrayed the spirit of giving and teamwork to benefit the community. They have, on numerous occasions, been able to support community initiatives held across the Kingdom,” he said.
The event included a number of activities and games for the children to enjoy.
McDonald’s Bahrain also supported the event by providing meals at preferential rates.
The “Rayaat Scholarship” program was launched in 2011 as a comprehensive approach to promote educational achievement and personal development through providing students with scholarship opportunities at accredited universities in the Kingdom. In addition, the program offers enrichment workshops, job-placement, and community service opportunities within a supportive environment that encourages students to take an active role in the community and fosters values of giving back and being socially-responsible
Students of Rayaat are required to complete 30 hours of volunteer work on yearly basis. Recently, Rayaat students took part in distributing Ramadan baskets to needy families, organizing entertainment activities for children of Alia Centre for Early Intervention and Saudi-Bahraini Institute for the Blind, along with their contribution in organizing national projects for youth such as Youth City and Nakhool City.
