Manama, Bahrain 19 April 2020: In line with the current circumstances in the Kingdom, and as part of its efforts to promote distance learning, AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation launched the Ithra Youth Program 2020 electronically through Zoom application under the name E-ITHRA, to complete the second phase of the program, which focuses on self-development.
This year’s program, which comes under the slogan of “Life Planning” is aimed at revealing the interests of participants by developing a set of skills including self-development, employment, and technical skills, as well as instilling a sense of social responsibility.
The first workshop of the second phase sought to introduce and apply the concepts of leadership by controlling the participant’s life path through better self-identification, developing their different skills such as planning, discussing and negotiating, as well as social life skills and knowing the importance of personal relationships leading to self-independence.
The e-workshop also focused on the types and methods of leadership, allowing participants to set personal goals and plan to achieve them. The participants discussed the life story of Adna Adnan Ismail and her struggle to achieve her dream.
As for the second workshop, it aimed to familiarize the participants with the value of self-reliance and getting to understand their personality better, and also included self-development skills. The workshop also introduced the SWOT Analysis to participants who learned how to use this method to develop their skills.
The second phase of the Ithra program was concluded in the third workshop, which introduced participants to university life, and presented a glimpse into the life of a number of different majors across various universities, and urged them to choose what best suits their interests and future aspirations. It also shed light on majors with high demand in the job market and introduced participants to the directions of the fourth industrial revolution.
Through this program, AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation seeks to create effective and proactive young Bahrainis capable of making a positive impact on society. Therefore, the program focused on social and life skills, as well as introducing participants to university life and self-development skills, and identifying the various professions required in the labor market.
Her Highness Shaikha Zain bint Khalid Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation, expressed her sincere thanks and appreciation to the trainers and participants in the Ithra program for their continuous efforts and eagerness to play their role in the current circumstances, which demonstrates responsibility and leadership that attributes to a bright future for the Kingdom of Bahrain.
