AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation Announces Registration for Rayaat Scholarship Program 2020 – 2021

MANAMA, Bahrain – 26 February 2020: AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation announces the opening of registration for Rayaat Scholarship Program for the academic year 2020 – 2021, the program comes in line with MKF’s mission to empower youth and enrich their life skills and educational journey in a variety of fields. Rayaat program this year offers the scholarship in Accounting and Finance scholarship in Bangor University at the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF).

Through Rayaat program, the Foundation is offering a bachelor’s degree scholarship for a number of fields across various industries in both The University of Bahrain and Bahrain Polytechnic. For the first time, the Foundation offers the opportunity for prospective students to register for a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance in Bangor University at the Bahrain Institute for Banking and Finance (BIBF), with the support of SICO, one of the leading regional asset manager, broker and investment bank, has a growing track record of achievements stretched over two decades.

Commenting on the occasion, Her Highness Shaikha Zain bint Khalid Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation, said: “We are pleased to announce the opening of registration of Rayaat Scholarship Program for the academic year of 2020 – 2021, which provides young people with the necessary support to develop their academic skills across their preferred fields, with an aim to create a future-ready workforce. We believe in the importance of empowering students to achieve their academic goals and aspirations, in order to promote community advancement and development in the Kingdom of Bahrain.”

Those wishing to register for the Rayaat Scholarship Program at the University of Bahrain and Bahrain Polytechnic can apply between the 1st to the 15th of March 2020. Applicants wishing to register for the undergraduate program in Accounting and Finance in Bangor University at the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance will have to apply through BIBF first and then apply at the Foundation from the 17th until the 23rd of March by filling out the online application form via the website www.mkfbh.org. Students will be granted scholarships upon the completion of a thorough selection process, based on academic achievement, interview, volunteering, and community services experience.

The Raayat program is distinguished from other programs, as it offers aim to reinforce self-esteem, develop self-assertion, and enhance public-speaking, management and communication skills, with a focus on English fluency, thus preparing them for their entry into the job market.

“Rayaat Scholarship” program was launched in 2011 as a comprehensive approach to promote educational achievement and personal development. The program provides scholarships for students to join an accredited university in the Kingdom of Bahrain, as well as offering many benefits including financial incentives, workshops and opportunities while promoting a culture of ‘community responsibility” by instilling volunteerism and community service within a supportive environment.
