AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation Launches the “100 Laptops” Initiative

In a unique initiative to enhance the education sector and remote education

Manama, Bahrain – 14 April 2020: In line with its efforts to enhance social corporate responsibility and supporting the educational sector and students, AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation has announced the launch of “ 100 Laptops” initiative to provide students with devices to facilitate ‘Remote Learning’ and help them keep up with their education in response to the current situation.

This initiative supports the national efforts to continue distant learning in light of the current global crisis, as well as making a positive impact in society as it encourages giving back programs and projects benefiting the whole community by involving individuals, companies, and organizations while spreading the spirit of giving as well as ensuring the right of education to all.

Commenting on the occasion, Her Highness Shaikha Zain bint Khalid Al Khalifa, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation, said: “We would like to thank His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Governor of the Southern Governorate for his generous gesture donating 60 laptops as the first contributor in our initiative, and for his continuous contributions to our foundation’s various initiatives.”

“We would also like to call upon individuals and institutions in our local community to contribute to this initiative, as it serves different segments of society that require additional support, especially during these times. This initiative is an investment in the education of Bahrain’s generation and contributes to our beloved Kingdom’s future progress and advancement,” she added.
