The Inaugural AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation – Youth Forum Wraps Up

 

Manama, Bahrain, 12^th April 2017: The First Youth Forum organized by AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation concluded yesterday at the Gulf International Convention Centre.

The Forum, which focused on the effect of leadership, entrepreneurship and volunteerism in developing the youth, was held under the patronage of the Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, with strategic partnership from Tamkeen and the Gold sponsors: Al Salam Bank – Bahrain, Securities & Investments Company (SICO), and APM Terminals.

The forum aimed to promote the development of young Bahrainis and encourage them to innovate across three main topics of the forum which was leadership, entrepreneurship and community service.

The forum included success stories, discussion sessions and workshops in several areas dedicated such as creativity box, the dialogue garden, the activities area and the discussion platform.

The event was attended by prominent Bahraini and Gulf figures, most notably Minister of Foreign Affairs, HE Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa,  Minister of Youth and Sports, HE Mr. Hisham Bin Mohammed Al Jowder,  a writer and businessman from Saudi Arabia Khaled Al Khudair, and media and social activist from the UAE Khalid Al Ameri.

Through its integrated program that was developed in coordination and in collaboration with relevant governmental bodies, non-governmental organizations and private foundations, the forum provided an exciting and engaging experience for young people and provided them with an opportunity to communicate with inspirational models.

The participating youth also learned about AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation, its programs and the available opportunities aimed at investing in the potential of Bahraini youth and achieve all their ambitions at academic and professional levels.

Further commenting on the conclusion of the event; Board of Trustees’ chairperson of AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation, Her Highness Shaikha Zain bint Khalid Al Khalifa thanked the contributors and volunteers who have spent time and effort to organize the forum in the best way and have contributed towards providing a useful educational experience for Bahraini students and the youth.

AlMabarrah AlKhalifia’s vision is focused on achieving the desired excellence for every Bahraini citizen to become an active member of the society, capable of enhancing channels of communication and interaction that is in line with the vision of Bahrain 2030 as the Foundation continues to commit itself to strengthening the educational sector.
