The Fund of Her Highness Shaikha Moza bint Hamad AlKhalifa (may Allah bestow peace upon her soul) was created in 2011 upon the request of her daughters and is managed by AlMabarrah AlKhalifa Foundation.
The Fund aims to carry out Charitable and Humanitarian work based on the needs and requirements of the Bahraini people which, in turn, benefit the society as a whole.
Fund initiatives and achievements
Her Highness Shaikha Moza bint Hamad Mosque
The Fund has contributed towards building a mosque with its facilities in Riffa, which was completed in June 2015.
Cochlear Implantation
AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation signed a Memorandum of Understanding with King Hamad University Hospital, to provide financial support worth of BD 32,000 to treat patients with hearing impairment through cochlear implants.
Insulin pumps
HH Shaikha Moza bint Hamad AlKhalifa’s Fund donated BD100,000 to the Bahrain Defense Force Hospital, funding 37 insulin pumps for diabetic children.
Freezer Van
HH Shaikha Moza bint Hamad AlKhalifa’s Fund donated a Freezer Van to Bahrain Food Bank, this initiative comes to contribute to limiting food waste.
Scholarships
The Fund has committed to support Rayaat Scholarship Program through funding a number of medical scholarship seats at the Arabian Gulf University, and the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland – Medical University of Bahrain. In addition to Masters’ degree scholarships at the University of Bahrain.
Advanced Laser Vision Correction
A community initiative in collaboration with Dr. Haifa Eye Hospital, aimed at enhancing quality of life through advanced, safe, and painless laser procedures with rapid recovery to effectively restore vision.
