MKF and MKF Connect Launch “Gulf First” Campaign at Youth City 2030

AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation (MKF), in cooperation with MKF Connect, has launched the “Gulf First” campaign as part of the programmes of Youth City 2030, organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs in cooperation with its strategic partner, Tamkeen (Labour Fund). The initiative seeks to instil a culture of supporting Gulf products and services and to raise awareness of the consumer’s vital role in bolstering the economies of the region’s countries. The campaign stems from both parties’ belief in the importance of fostering a conscious consumer culture that contributes to strengthening economic integration among the GCC states.

The campaign aims to empower young people and motivate them to adopt creative thinking by devising innovative initiatives, events and media content that help convey the campaign’s message in modern and impactful ways. It also encourages participants to put forward creative ideas and solutions that raise awareness of the importance of giving priority to Gulf products and services, thereby embedding this concept within society and turning it into a daily practice rooted in a spirit of innovation and social responsibility, while supporting a shared Gulf identity.

In this regard, Her Highness Shaikha Zain bint Khalid Al Khalifa, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation, said: “The ‘Gulf First’ campaign is founded on a firm conviction that favouring Gulf products and services has a positive impact on stimulating investment, encouraging innovation, and creating further opportunities for projects and entrepreneurs. This step will also help highlight success stories and pioneering projects that reflect the promising potential the region holds.”

For her part, Mrs. Saba Yousif Siyadi, Chief Executive Officer of AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation, affirmed that the “Gulf First” campaign represents a national platform for empowering young people to lead distinctive initiatives that reflect their creative capabilities. She noted that the campaign is not limited to spreading awareness messages, but rather focuses on transforming innovative ideas into student-led initiatives, events and impactful media content. She added that the initiative embodies the Foundation’s commitment to supporting innovation, strengthening partnerships with educational institutions, and preparing a generation capable of creating a positive social impact through its ideas and initiatives.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Noora Shuraida, Marketing Manager at MKF Connect, explained that the “Gulf First” campaign aims to develop students’ creative thinking and encourage them to create initiatives, events and creative content that help spread the campaign’s message and extend its reach to all segments of society. She added that the campaign gives young people the space to turn their ideas into real initiatives with tangible impact, enhancing the spirit of innovation and teamwork and encouraging them to contribute to entrenching a culture of supporting Gulf products and services in innovative and influential ways.

AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation and MKF Connect invite all members of the community, institutions, entrepreneurs, and government and private entities to engage with the “Gulf First” campaign and take part in spreading its messages, thereby helping to establish a conscious consumer culture that favours Gulf products and services and supports the building of a stronger, more sustainable economy across the region’s countries.
