About Us

AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation ("MKF") is a non-profit foundation registered and licensed by the Ministry of Social Development. Established in 2011 in the Kingdom of Bahrain, it aims to make a social impact in the education field and to empower Bahraini youth to reach their optimum potential. By providing Bahraini youth with knowledge, skills and character development programs, they will be able to develop themselves and their Kingdom further.

Through aligning the foundation’s vision with the Bahrain 2050 vision, MKF is committed to enriching Bahrain’s education sector through specialized programs that target Bahraini. The young people of Bahrain with skills and expertise required by the labor market. The aim is to establish good social responsibilities to take on charitable projects and initiatives; benefiting and elevating the community as a whole.

  2. 2017: Special honor from Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa Award for Pioneers of Volunteerism in collaboration with the Arab League.
  3. 2018: AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation honoured with the 2018 Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa Award for charity.
  4. 2018: AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation wins Ministry of Labour and Social Development grant for the second consecutive time.
  5. 2019: Shaikha Zain bint Khalid Al Khalifa is honored at the 6th Honouring Ceremony for Personnel in the Field of Joint Youth Work in Oman.
  6. 2019: Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Governor of the Southern Governorate, honoured the Foundation in recognition of its outstanding role and active contribution to the success of the southern governorate’s 2019 events.
  7. 2020: Honoured for the role of the Shaikha Moza bint Hamad Al Khalifa Fund in providing insulin pumps for diabetics at the 3rd Conference of Internal Medicine, Diabetes and Obesity.
  8. 2020: King Hamad Award for Youth Empowerment, in its third edition, for the second category: Recognising Enablers of Youth Participation: Action and Impact for SDGS’ Achievement, Financial Enabling Award.
  9. 2021: Honoured by Shaikh Isa bin Ali AlKhalifa Award for pioneering in social voluntary work.
  10. 2022: Won the first place within His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa Award for ‘Best Institutional Voluntary Performance’.
  11. 2022: The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia honored AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation in celebration of the 11th annual awards ceremony, in Riyadh.
  12. 2023: AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation honoured for its outstanding contribution to volunteer work through its pioneering efforts in serving the Bahraini community.
  13. 2024: AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation wins two Arabian Property Awards for the design of its new headquarters.
  14. 2025: AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation honoured for its contribution to the Southern Governorate earning the Healthy City title.
  15. 2026: AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation meets the requirements of the ISO 26000 international guidance standard on social responsibility.

Environmental Responsibility

As part of its commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainable development, MKF has launched initiatives aimed at reducing its environmental footprint and promoting a culture of sustainability. Its new eco-friendly building serves as a model of these efforts, integrating renewable energy systems and smart controls that have reduced energy consumption by 20%. The Foundation has also adopted waste management and recycling practices, provided infrastructure for electric vehicle charging, and engaged youth in workshops and green initiatives that support circular economy principles.
