AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation (MKF) was established on the 30th of May 2011 in The Kingdom of Bahrain. We operate in a non-governmental capacity focusing on supporting society’s educational needs to help build solid communities capable of reaching their optimum potential.

We are a private entity licensed by the Ministry of Social Development and governed by an independent Board of Trustees, consisting of dedicated volunteer community service leaders committed to educational excellence. We have been working in the community service sector for over 10 years providing financial and humanitarian aid. Some of our projects include setting up health centers locally and internationally, creating social awareness campaigns, and reviving traditional Bahraini craft.

Our various attempts on projects and initiatives made us realize that we would need to focus our efforts more cohesively. To do so, we initiated focus groups to understand how we could best serve our society’s needs. The resulting research indicated a pressing requirement for specialized educational programs and youth development programs. To put these into practice we engaged various core stakeholders (including the Ministry of Education, Universities, students, youth service providers and the local community). Such unified action led to the establishment of what we are today, the AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation.
