AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation Welcomes 40 Students into the Rayaat Scholarship Programme

AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation held its fifth induction meeting at Isa Cultural Centre, bringing together 40 male and female students who have been accepted into the Rayaat Scholarship Programme for the 2015/2016 academic year. The Foundation screened a total of 524 applications and selected the best candidates for the programme on the basis of academic achievement, a personal interview and involvement in voluntary work.

The Rayaat Scholarship Programme offers a number of benefits, including coverage of tuition fees at the universities included in the programme, namely the University of Bahrain, Bahrain Polytechnic, the Arabian Gulf University and Talal Abu-Ghazaleh University. It also provides financial incentives, a book allowance and training opportunities, in addition to lectures and workshops aimed at developing the skills of students enrolled in the programme. AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation is also in the process of introducing a new benefit: a special card for Rayaat students that will give them access to a range of advantages, such as discounts from internet service providers, petrol stations, stationery shops and other outlets.

It is worth noting that the Rayaat Scholarship Programme is one of the most important initiatives of AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation, which is keen to provide Bahraini citizens with suitable opportunities for self-development through a comprehensive and integrated programme that prepares them for success and excellence. The number of students who have benefited from the programme since the Foundation was established in 2011 up to the present year has reached 131 male and female students, including 101 at the University of Bahrain, 27 at Bahrain Polytechnic and 4 at the Arabian Gulf University.

The meeting was attended by all of this year's new students and opened with verses from the Holy Qur'an, followed by a speech by Shaikha Noora bint Hamad Al Khalifa, Secretary of AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation, who introduced the students to the Foundation, its objectives and its programmes in general, and to the benefits and regulations of the Rayaat programme in particular, wishing all the students continued success and achievement.
