AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation and Tamkeen Conclude Ithra Youth Programme

Manama, 8 May /BNA/ AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation yesterday concluded the activities of the third season of the Ithra Youth Programme, in the presence of the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation, Shaikha Zain bint Khalid Al Khalifa, and the Chief Executive of Tamkeen, Dr. Ebrahim Mohammed Janahi.

As part of the season's activities, Tamkeen held a workshop entitled "Start Your Business", which falls within its package of advisory services offering a range of specialised guidance and mentoring services for enterprises and individuals, supervised by a number of experts and specialists across various sectors.

Shaikha Zain bint Khalid Al Khalifa, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation, said: "AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation has always placed young people among its foremost priorities, as they represent the key element that will advance the Kingdom's economy in the future through their ideas and their unique energies. We are therefore delighted to cooperate with Tamkeen in strengthening the Ithra Youth Programme, which helps instil educational values in Bahraini youth and develop their skills so that they may become active members serving their community and their nation."

Dr. Ebrahim Mohammed Janahi, Chief Executive of Tamkeen, said: "Tamkeen works continuously to support enterprises and individuals throughout all their stages of development. Youth is a particularly important stage, as it is when an individual begins to plan for the future and to work towards achieving his professional and practical goals and ambitions. We are therefore pleased to cooperate with AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation to give a select group of Bahraini young people the opportunity to learn about the prospects for success in the labour market and to enhance their skills and experience so that they can achieve such success in the future."

The Ithra Youth Programme is an initiative of AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation that provides support to young people by harnessing their energies, developing their interests and preparing them for the labour market, so that they may play a greater leading role in the process of growth and development as a positive force in the advancement of the nation.

The Ithra Youth Programme included introducing participants to Tamkeen's programmes, teaching them a number of entrepreneurial skills, and reviewing the success stories of young beneficiaries of Tamkeen's programmes who have turned their ideas and ambitions into tangible reality.
Her Highness Shaikha Zain honoured the outstanding male and female students and presented certificates of participation to the trainers who delivered the programme, extending her thanks to everyone involved in organising it.
