Manama, Bahrain (19 November 2016):Al Mabarrah Al Khalifia Foundation (MKF) conducted its monthly Rayaat Programme’s meeting under the theme of “Entrepreneurship”, in line with the Global Entrepreneurship week.
The event, held At Al Ayam Publishing Press, aimed to promote the world of entrepreneurship and startups among the student’s in celebration of the Global Entrepreneurship week.
Speaking at the event were Ms. Noora Jamsheer, the owner of “D For Diamonds”,who discussed her experience with launching her company, along with Mr. Abdulrahman Buheji, owner of “Glace` Roll”Restaurant and Café, highlighted the challenges and success stories he faced during his journey.
As a part of its mandate to promote entrepreneurship among its students, Al Mabarrah Al Khalifia Foundation also gave students the opportunity to exhibit their own business ideas and projects during the event.
The ‘Rayaat Scholarship’ was launched in 2011 as a comprehensive approach to promote educational achievement and personal development by providing students with scholarship opportunities at accredited universities in the Kingdom along with a series of career development opportunities such as internships in the public and private sectors.
The program aims to empower students with the necessary skills to achieve excellence and fulfill their potentials while providing them with financial incentives based on educational performance. The program also instills other strong ethics such as social responsibility through various courses and workshop that help them to succeed.
MKF, intends through Rayaat, to engage various parties such as Government bodies, Non-Government Organizations (NGOs), Private Entities and Youth to have a positive social impact in youth empowerment providing the students with work experience that facilitate their entry in the labour market after graduation.
