MKF Launches "Ithra Juniors" Programme for Ages 13 to 14

AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation (MKF) has announced the launch of "Ithra Juniors", a programme aimed at young teens, beginning on 8 February, with the participation of more than 20 students aged between 13 and 14.

"Ithra Juniors" is an educational and training programme delivered under the supervision of specialised trainers. It seeks to strengthen essential life skills by offering a range of learning opportunities focused on self-discovery and self-development in an enjoyable and engaging manner. The programme's learning methodology rests on the following pillars: workshops, field visits, varied challenges, camps, arts and handicrafts, in addition to undertaking a variety of projects, making the acquisition of knowledge and experience an interactive, stimulating and inspiring journey.

The programme was launched following a study of participants' needs and based on the results of the self-assessment completed by all applicants. In its first edition, "Ithra Juniors" will run two seasons a year: the first during the spring break and the second during the summer holiday. As part of a series of specialised youth programmes offered by the Foundation, graduates of "Ithra Juniors" may go on to join "Ithra Youth", designed for the 15 to 16 age group, and subsequently the "Watheq" programme, designed for the 17 to 18 age group.

On this occasion, Her Highness Shaikha Zain bint Khalid Al Khalifa, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation, expressed the Foundation's pride in launching "Ithra Juniors" as part of a series of rewarding youth programmes targeting young generations aged between 10 and 16.

Her Highness noted that the Foundation aspires to continue offering such programmes, which contribute to building a successful generation that is socially and culturally advanced. This is achieved through educational and training activities centred on leadership, community engagement, life planning, instilling confidence, fostering a spirit of initiative and responsibility, and nurturing a sense of national belonging. Her Highness affirmed that offering these youth programmes is a commendable step, stemming from a belief in the capabilities of promising Bahraini youth and built on a clear vision of creating generations that take initiative and make a positive impact on society.

AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation was established in 2011 as a non-profit organisation registered and licensed by the Ministry of Labour and Social Development in the Kingdom of Bahrain. It works to create a positive social impact in the field of education and to empower Bahraini youth to realise their full potential by enrolling them in numerous workshops and courses designed to equip them with knowledge, skills and experience, delivering the best outcomes for them and for the nation.
