MKF Holds Workshops and Panel Discussions under the "Watheq" Programme

AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation has announced the organisation of a number of panel discussions and workshops under the "Watheq" programme, which was launched with the support of the National Bank of Bahrain and in cooperation with more than 10 other entities. During the month of August, the Watheq programme team held a series of motivational discussion sessions, in which Mr. Ahmed Abdulrahman Seyadi, Chief Executive Officer of CrediMax Bahrain, met the students taking part in the "Watheq" programme and encouraged them to persevere in the pursuit of knowledge and to work diligently to raise their nation's banner high. Miss Dana Buarki, Head of Learning Design and Development at the Institute of Public Administration, took part in another dialogue session, while a workshop on writing university research reports was held with Dr. Khawla Fuad Ali, Consultant in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Obesity and Assistant Professor at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland – Medical University of Bahrain. On this occasion, Her Highness Shaikha Zain bint Khalid Al Khalifa, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation, said: "We are delighted with the success achieved by the 'Watheq' programme, which has worked to develop the practical and academic skills of more than 60 participants. We extend our thanks to all the inspiring figures who shared their experiences in order to guide and mentor our young people."

The "Watheq" programme aims to strengthen self-discipline and the importance of self-reliance among participants – aged between 16 and 18 – in order to face the challenges they may encounter at the university stage, including choosing the right major, applying to universities and fulfilling requirements, as well as enhancing their personal skills. The "Watheq" programme is built on a solid and well-rounded foundation, comprising the following pillars: accredited workshops covering self-development and motivation topics, honing essential skills, introducing university majors, and career exploration. Participants in the programme also received accredited certificates that help them develop their academic, personal and other skills so as to embark on university life with full confidence. It is worth noting that AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation was established in 2011 as a non-profit organisation registered and licensed by the Ministry of Social Development in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
