MKF Holds "The Power of Giving" Gathering

Manama, 19 October / BNA / AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation (MKF) held its monthly student gathering, entitled "The Power of Giving", in the Bahrain Hall at Bahrain Polytechnic for students of the Rayaat Scholarship Program. The event forms part of the regular gatherings organised by the Foundation to build bridges of cooperation between MKF students and the Foundation's administrative team within a framework of knowledge and cultural exchange, and to create an effective environment with a distinctive friendly and social character. The gathering was attended by members of the Board of Trustees of AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation.

The gathering opened with a welcome to the programme's new students, with the MKF family wishing them every success. This was followed by a review of the Foundation's rules and regulations, which help familiarise students with their rights and duties throughout their enrolment in the Rayaat programme. It is worth noting that, since its establishment, the Foundation has been committed to raising awareness, promoting volunteerism and nurturing a sense of belonging and patriotism among students by requiring them to complete 30 hours of community participation per academic year, given the role this plays in building a generous young generation.

The "Power of Giving" gathering covered a number of key themes addressing the current reality and contemporary challenges of volunteer work, through the presentation of real-life examples of purposeful voluntary initiatives. A number of representatives of youth societies attended, including Dreams, Visionaries and the Aaliya Early Intervention Centre, to speak about their pioneering experiences, which highlight the value of volunteer work and its clear impact on society. Ms. Ashwaq Bu Ali was also present to share her personal experiences in humanitarian volunteer work through her field visits to Syria and Djibouti. The gathering concluded with Mr. Ahmed Janahi, Community Relations Consultant, who spoke about the "Mashroo3i Youth Business Award" offered by Tamkeen. The award gives participants the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of business planning, model preparation and more directly from successful entrepreneurs, in the hope of inspiring and encouraging the next generation of entrepreneurs and visionaries. AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation also extends its thanks to Bahrain Polytechnic for its ongoing support and cooperation with the Foundation in providing the hall and the arrangements for the gathering.
