During the Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with "Middle East Medical Centre"… Shaikha Naila bint Hamad to "Al Bilad": AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation Has Its Eye on Empowering Promising National Talent

Manama, 18 May / BNA / The Vice Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation, Shaikha Naila bint Hamad Al Khalifa, affirmed that the support and close follow-up extended to the Foundation by the wife of His Highness Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, Her Highness Shaikha Zain bint Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation, reflect Her Highness's keenness that the Foundation fulfil the objectives for which it was established, namely to serve as an umbrella for entrenching and activating the positive and effective values that support the development of Bahraini youth and encourage them to realise their full potential as productive citizens serving their society, through the Foundation's programmes, which employ scientific and theoretical approaches to enable young people to become members engaged with the issues of their community.

Shaikha Naila stressed the importance of holding fast to the values that spring from our culture, heritage and traditions, since they stem from our Islamic values and Bahraini culture. She noted that AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation, which has enjoyed since its earliest steps the unlimited support and wise guidance of His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister, is a non-profit charitable organisation whose members on the Board of Trustees, backed by the unlimited support of Her Highness Shaikha Zain, are keen to contribute effectively to supporting education in Bahrain by developing the youth community and building its capacities and potential so that it may achieve its goals, through programmes that focus on quality and excellence and that are in line with Bahrain's Vision 2030, while continuing the Foundation's commitment to developing the education sector, providing training opportunities and instilling positive concepts of social responsibility among Bahrain's young generation.

In press statements to the Bahrain News Agency, Shaikha Naila pointed out that AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation has made the empowerment of promising national talent its principal objective, working to strengthen channels of communication, interaction and community partnership with all public and private institutions in society. She praised all the partnerships the Foundation has forged, which serve to meet the needs of young people and develop their skills, affirming that the partnership concluded today between the Middle East Medical Centre and AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation is one form of support that advances a culture of social solidarity, backs the Foundation's objectives, develops its work and widens the umbrella of its beneficiaries.

These remarks by Shaikha Naila bint Hamad Al Khalifa came during the signing of the memorandum of understanding between AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation and the Middle East Centre yesterday morning, as she headed the Foundation's delegation on a visit to the Middle East Medical Centre. The delegation included Shaikha Lulwa bint Ali Al Khalifa, member of the Board of Trustees, and the Foundation's Chief Executive Officer, Mrs. Saba Yousif Siyadi. Her Highness signed the agreement on behalf of Her Highness Shaikha Zain bint Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees, while it was signed on behalf of Dr. Fergies Kurian, Chief Executive Officer of the Middle East Medical Centre, by Dr. Ravi Brett Singh, Executive Director of the Centre, in the presence of the Executive Director of "Al Namal" Company, Ali Al Tarif, and the Centre's Administrative Manager, Seema Farman.

She expressed her deep thanks and appreciation for the support provided to AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation by the Middle East Medical Centre through all its branches in Hidd and Salmabad, by means of this positive partnership concluded today in support of the Foundation's activities, noting that this partnership and cooperation will strengthen relations between the two sides in line with what both parties aspire to in the future.

Shaikha Naila bint Hamad Al Khalifa, accompanied by Shaikha Lulwa bint Ali Al Khalifa, member of the Board of Trustees, the Foundation's Chief Executive Officer Saba Yousif Siyadi, the Executive Director of the Middle East Medical Centre, board member and manager Ali Tarif, and Dr. Mahnaz Keshavarzian, then toured all the departments of the Centre, taking a close look at the high-quality medical services and care it provides across all the clinics and specialisations it houses, including comprehensive specialised clinics and units for physiotherapy, rehabilitation, radiology, laboratory services and pharmacy.

At the end of her tour, she expressed her admiration for the progress achieved by the Centre through its use of the latest technologies and international medical expertise to provide the best healthcare services to the citizens and residents who visit it.

On a related note, the Executive Director of the Middle East Medical Centre, Dr. Ravi Singh, extended his utmost appreciation and thanks to Her Highness Shaikha Zain bint Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation, for her continuous efforts and purely humanitarian work in support of the Foundation's activities. He affirmed that this partnership would not have come about were it not for the achievements, success and fine reputation the Foundation has earned within Bahraini society in helping the young people it embraces and supports through its various programmes, whether through the scholarships it offers or through the "Ithra Youth" programme, in which they took part extensively in support of its recent activities held under Her Highness's gracious patronage. He also conveyed his thanks and appreciation to all the members of the Board of Trustees, commending every good effort devoted to serving society and its youth.

In his statements to BNA, he pointed out that the signed agreement covers the provision of the best treatment for all members, staff, students and family members of AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation, announcing that this partnership comes at the direction of the Centre's Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Fergies Kurian, who endorses every partnership that serves the community, and stressing that the partnership with AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation reflects the leading position of its programmes and objectives within society.

On a related note, the Executive Director of Al Namal Company, Ali Al Tarif, affirmed that the Board of Directors is pleased with this partnership and welcomes it, stressing that avenues of cooperation remain open for further activities and programmes between the Foundation and the Middle East Medical Centre. He explained that the choice of AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation came with the support of the Chairman of the Board, Dr. Fergies Kurian, owing to the leading position the Foundation has succeeded in attaining since its launch until now, whether in terms of its programmes or in achieving the ambitions and objectives set for it.

In statements to BNA, Al Tarif noted that, under this agreement, free educational and awareness courses will be provided to the Foundation for all its affiliates, including executive board members, staff, students and their families, along with free medical check-ups carried out by specialised medical teams during visits to the Foundation, in addition to discounts of around 10% on all consultations and examinations at the Medical Centre's two branches in Muharraq and Salmabad, as well as participation in supporting the Foundation's external events, whether at the Formula One, the Air Show or other activities and events. He affirmed that this comes in appreciation of the Foundation's role and work and the values for which it strives, which are dedicated to the interest and benefit of all the people of Bahrain, particularly young people, and of its efforts to instil the values of loyalty, sincerity, citizenship, authenticity, cooperation and team spirit and to spread charitable work among members of society. He added: "We support them in order to strengthen their work and their sporting role," noting that they had played a distinguished part in supporting the "Ithra Youth" programme and were part of the success the programme achieved by everyone's account.

The Executive Director of the Middle East Medical Centre, Dr. Ravi Singh, the Executive Director of Al Namal Company, Ali Al Tarif, and the Administration Manager of the Medical Centre, Seema Farman, honoured Her Highness Shaikha Naila bint Hamad Al Khalifa and Shaikha Lulwa bint Ali Al Khalifa in appreciation of their efforts in enriching the work of AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation.
