MKFAlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation Signs Memorandum of Understanding with Tamkeen
In affirmation of the principle of social partnership and in order to put that principle into practice, and with a view to advancing society towards the better and more prosperous future it aspires to — by empowering young Bahraini talent and bridging the gap between university graduates and the requirements of the labour market, so that the Bahraini youth becomes the first choice for employers across the various sectors — Tamkeen took the initiative of signing a memorandum of understanding with AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation.
The signing ceremony was attended by a delegation representing Tamkeen, comprising Yusuf Ali, Executive Director of the Customer Service Department, Mr. Mohammed Ahmadi, Manager of Youth Projects at the Operations Unit, and Mr. Ahmed Janahi, Social Partnership Manager.
On this occasion, Dr. Ebrahim Mohammed Janahi, Chief Executive of Tamkeen, stressed the importance of supporting institutions that render valuable services to the youth segment of Bahraini society, particularly students, who must be equipped with the essential tools and skills that help them achieve success throughout their academic and professional lives and contribute to driving economic development in Bahrain.
For her part, Her Highness Shaikha Zain bint Khalid Al Khalifa, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation, commended the significant efforts made by Tamkeen in supporting Bahraini youth as the next generation, and thanked Tamkeen for the support it has pledged, which will enrich the activities offered by the Rayaat Program to students and further the achievement of its objectives. Her Highness noted that AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation has to date awarded 200 scholarships to students to pursue a variety of fields and specialisations selected according to each student’s inclinations, capabilities and abilities, and in line with the needs of the labour market and the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030.
Under the memorandum, Tamkeen will cooperate with AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation to support the workshops and courses delivered to students of the Rayaat Scholarship Program. These workshops and courses cover a wide range of areas, including building self-confidence and self-assertion, and developing public speaking, management, communication and English language skills, so that the student is fully prepared to enter the labour market and to perform the role expected of him with the utmost effectiveness.
