MKFAlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation Launches Ithra Youth 3 Programme

Manama, 3 February / BNA / As part of its series of educational programmes supporting young people, AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation launched the "Ithra Youth 3" programme for the third consecutive year, following three years of implementing the programme with 120 male and female school students from across the Kingdom's governorates. The programme aims to instil the values and various life skills that shape young people's behaviour and drive them towards excellence and creativity, as well as to build an effective generation of youth capable of confronting the contemporary challenges facing society. An introductory meeting was recently held with the parents of the participating students at Isa Cultural Centre, attended by members of the Board of Trustees of AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation and the programme's training team. For her part, Her Highness Shaikha Zain bint Khalid Al Khalifa, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of AlMabarrah AlKhalifia, said: "We are proud to have reached these advanced stages of the Ithra Youth programme. I extend my thanks and gratitude to everyone working on the programme, in appreciation of all the efforts made to achieve the goals we aspire to in advancing the youth of Bahrain and elevating them, thereby contributing to the progress and prestige of the nation."
The meeting included a review of the detailed report on the Ithra Youth programme during its previous year, featuring a video presentation summarising all the activities, programmes and values on which the programme is founded, in addition to a detailed presentation of this year's programme, which represents a qualitative leap in terms of its themes, focusing on education in cooperation with lecturers specialised in development and self-development in order to achieve the objectives set by AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation for this year. Parents exchanged questions and suggestions with the programme's administrative team, and the meeting concluded with praise for the programme and for the efforts of those behind it, along with accounts of the extent to which the students had been influenced by the programme, which was positively reflected in their lives and behaviour in their academic and social reality.
In addition, trainer Ashwaq Bu Ali delivered an awareness lecture entitled "Positive Thinking", in which she discussed the importance of positive thinking and its impact on individuals and society, highlighting the developmental role played by the family in raising young people, shaping their ideas and dreams and steering them in the right direction using modern methods of positive thinking, and the results this brings about by instilling confidence in children and belief in their personal abilities and skills, leading them to achieve their dreams and goals. At the close of the lecture, Shaikha Hala bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, member of the Board of Trustees of AlMabarrah AlKhalifia, honoured trainer Ashwaq Bu Ali in recognition of her distinguished delivery of the "Positive Thinking" lecture.
For her part, Shaikha Hala bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, member of the Board of Trustees of AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation, affirmed that the Foundation looks forward to adding the very best to the students' lives through this year's Ithra Youth programmes, in terms of preparations and educational developments that keep pace with the students' intellectual level as they reach their current age group and the secondary education stage, which requires a genuine change in the programmes and activities to suit their present capabilities and abilities. Fatima Abdulrahman Aljar, Head of the Ithra Youth programme, added: "This year's Ithra Youth programme is based on concepts and values different from those of the past, as it focuses more on the students' personal side, as well as the self-development aspect, which is one of the most important pillars of this year's Ithra Youth programme." She also noted that the programme's values this year are: making choices, problem solving, goal setting, self-challenge, the art of public speaking and debate, self-development, responsibility towards the nation, and youth empowerment. She explained that the programme will be run by specialised trainers of high competence in this field, in addition to experts specialised in various fields who will deliver training workshops aligned with the values of the Ithra Youth 3 programme.
