AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation Announces Graduation of Third Cohort of Ithra Youth Programme 2021

Riffa, Bahrain – 11 August 2021: AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation has announced the graduation of participants in the third edition of the Ithra Youth Programme 2021, following their successful completion of the first and second seasons, held during the spring term and the summer holiday respectively.

This is the first cohort to complete all of the programme's activities virtually. Registration for the fourth edition is scheduled to open between the end of this year and the beginning of next year.

The second season saw 10 trainers host more than 30 participants in daily workshops held virtually via the Zoom platform, in line with the guidelines of the Ministry of Health and the National Taskforce for Combating the Coronavirus.

This pioneering programme was designed on the basis of a study of participants' needs and an analysis of self-assessment results, enabling participants to discover themselves and develop their skills, thereby channelling youth energies towards advancing the development journey witnessed by the Kingdom of Bahrain. The Ithra programme is keen to refine talents and bring them to the fore, with a focus on building and developing a number of key skills, most notably employability, technical, social and life skills, in addition to project management and gaining insight into university life, careers and more.

The Ithra programme aims to strengthen young people's personal and life skills, instil a culture of giving back to society and the nation, and help them shape their goals through mental and physical activities that embed the programme's educational values, in cooperation with trainers of long-standing experience in the field.

The Foundation's programmes seek to nurture a vibrant generation of Bahraini youth who are knowledgeable and able to add value and make a positive difference in society, in line with its vision of empowering Bahrainis to thrive and contribute to strengthening the national economy.

It is worth noting that AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation is a non-profit organisation registered and licensed by the Ministry of Labour and Social Development in the Kingdom of Bahrain. It was established in 2011 with the aim of creating a positive social impact in the field of education and empowering Bahraini youth to reach their fullest potential, through holding numerous workshops and courses that provide them with knowledge, skills and experience, delivering the best outcomes for them and for the nation.
