Al Salam Bank – Bahrain Donates BD 10,000 to AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation

Mr. Anwar Murad, Head of Private Banking at Al Salam Bank – Bahrain, received Shaikha Hala bint Mohammed Al Khalifa and Shaikha Noora bint Hamad Al Khalifa, members of the Board of Trustees of AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation, and presented them with a cheque for BD 10,000 in a gesture reflecting the bank's belief in and support for the role played by AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation in the field of education and the development of Bahraini youth. Since its establishment in 2011, the Foundation has awarded, through its Scholarship Program, 76 scholarships to a number of universities in the Kingdom of Bahrain, including the University of Bahrain, Bahrain Polytechnic and the Arabian Gulf University, with the aim of giving Bahraini students the opportunity to achieve their academic goals through a comprehensive and integrated programme. The Foundation has also succeeded, for the second consecutive year, in enrolling 400 male and female students from various schools across the Kingdom in the Youth Program – Ithra, a national programme that seeks to develop Bahraini youth and encourage them to realise their full potential and become effective members of society.

On this occasion, Her Highness Shaikha Zain bint Khalid Al Khalifa, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation, extended her sincere thanks and appreciation to Al Salam Bank for its kind initiative and generous donation to the Foundation.

AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation was established on 30 May 2011 in the Kingdom of Bahrain. It is a non-profit organisation licensed by the Ministry of Social Development and managed by an independent Board of Trustees comprising leading figures who have been active in voluntary work and community service for more than ten years. The Foundation seeks to meet the educational needs and aspirations of citizens from all walks of life, and to lay the foundations of a distinguished society built on solid ground, whose members strive to make the most of all their potential and to put their energies and abilities to the best possible use.
