Al Sadaqa Society for the Blind Welcomes Her Highness Shaikha Zain

Al Sadaqa Society for the Blind welcomed Her Highness Shaikha Zain bint Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation and Honorary President of Al Sadaqa Society for the Blind.

Her Highness was received by Mr. Hussain Al Hulaibi, President of the Society, Mr. Ali Haji, Chief Executive Officer, Mrs. Sharifa Abdulla Al Malki, Vice President and Chairperson of the Women and Child Committee, members of the Board of Directors, and the children enrolled at the Society's centre, who presented Her Highness with flowers upon her arrival as an expression of their affection and appreciation. Her Highness was briefed on the latest developments at the kindergarten and the most recent teaching methods, before touring the Society in the company of its President to view its facilities, including the computer laboratory, the handicrafts workshop, the public library and the table tennis room for the blind, in order to learn about the Society's key achievements and its latest service facilities, which serve to develop and empower blind members.

Her Highness then proceeded to the Society's hall, where Mr. Hussain Al Hulaibi delivered a speech in which he extended his sincere thanks and gratitude to Her Highness Shaikha Zain bint Khalid Al Khalifa, praising the unlimited support Her Highness provides to the Society in assisting the visually impaired, enabling it to achieve its goals and enhance its activities. He expressed the Society's pride in Her Highness's acceptance of its honorary presidency, and reviewed the latest developmental programmes undertaken by its working committees, affirming that the Society will continue to move forward in advancing blind persons in various fields, drawing determination from Her Highness Shaikha Zain bint Khalid Al Khalifa, Honorary President of the Society. The speech was followed by a poem composed for the occasion in appreciation of Her Highness's visit. Her Highness then held a cordial meeting with the President and members of the Board of Directors to learn about their vision for purposeful activities, and all present expressed their pride in Her Highness's guidance and their appreciation of her generous initiative.

Her Highness Shaikha Zain bint Khalid Al Khalifa expressed her delight at visiting this humanitarian institution and at the programmes and activities it offers in the service of the visually impaired. She also extended her sincere thanks to the Society's members for the warm reception and commended the progress achieved by the Society, affirming the continuation of efforts to qualify and empower blind members and advance them in all fields.

It is worth noting that Her Highness Shaikha Zain sponsored and supported the First Camp for Gulf Blind Women in 2017, and has agreed to sponsor and support the upcoming camp.

At the conclusion of the visit, the President of the Society presented a commemorative gift to Her Highness Shaikha Zain bint Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa in recognition and appreciation of her distinguished services to the Society.
