تعمل المبرة الخليفية على تمكين المشاركين في إثراء من الوصول إلى المسرح العالمي

AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation (MKF) announced its sponsorship of a group of Ithra enrichment programme participants to attend the Summer School at the National University of Singapore (NUS) and the Harvard Youth Lead the Change programme, hosted in Bahrain for the first time. The initiative was further supported through partial sponsorship from UniHawk Bahrain, a leading educational consultancy.

The initiative reflects MKF’s commitment to empowering Bahraini youth by providing international opportunities for cultural and professional exchange. It also aligns with the Foundation’s vision of cultivating a generation capable of thriving in an increasingly competitive international landscape.

As part of this initiative, MKF sponsored Abdul Rahman Al Bay and Hamid Al Khadeer’s participation in the NUS Summer School. They were accompanied by their mentor, Abdullah Al Khadeir.

They represented the only Arab team from the Middle East among 70 international participants. The academic programme featured interactive lectures, research activities, and cultural exchanges with peers from around the world. Participants also engaged in specialised workshops delivered by leading professors, covering cutting-edge disciplines such as artificial intelligence, nuclear energy, electrical and electronic engineering, and modern media.

On the local front, Bahrain hosted the Harvard Youth Lead the Change programme for the first time. Representing MKF’s Ithra programme were Sundas Obaid, Lulwa Showaiter, Abdulaziz Salis, and Abdullah Al Rumaihi. Together, they explored innovative solutions to pressing social and economic challenges, while presenting leadership projects that embodied the ambition of Bahraini youth to drive positive change.

Each participant was presented with the “Best Speaker” award, along with certificates of participation and letters of recommendation from Harvard-accredited faculty. Their projects emphasised practical innovation, problem-solving, and leadership within the framework of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Her Highness Shaikha Zain bint Khalid Al Khalifa, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees at MKF, emphasised that nurturing youth potential is the most valuable investment. She said the foundation’s pursuit of global recognition is part of its mission to empower young Bahrainis by providing them with the knowledge and tools to shape their future with confidence. She noted that the success of Ithra’s participants in international programmes and conferences reflects the trust of global partners in Bahrain’s youth and drives efforts to expand opportunities for creativity and leadership for the next generation.

MKF takes pride in providing transformative opportunities that allow young minds to explore their talents and build a promising future filled with excellence and ingenuity. These international engagements serve as an extension of the Ithra program’s core pillars, which focus on life skills such as self-reliance and cross-cultural exchange, while offering pathways for both academic and professional development.

Founded in 2011 as a registered non-profit organisation under the Ministry of Labour and Ministry Social Development in the Kingdom of Bahrain, MKF continues to create positive social impact through education and youth empowerment. Its programmes are designed to provide specialised workshops, training activities, and enriching experiences that develop skills, knowledge, and expertise to benefit both participants and the wider community.
