AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation Celebrates the 6th Batch of “Rayaat” Scholarship Program

Manama, Bahrain, April 2, 2019: AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation celebrated the graduates of the 6th batch of its Scholarship Programme “Rayaat” during an honoring ceremony held on Monday, April 8, 2019, in the presence of Her Highness Shaikha Zain Bint Khalid Bin Abdulla AlKhalifa Chairperson of AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation, members of the Board, along with the administrative staff and a number of 20 graduating students from different majors upon the successful completion of their studies.

The Ceremony was organized in recognition of the tremendous efforts exerted by the students throughout their enrollment period in the past years, accompanied with their active engagement and participation in many activities within the Rayaat program varying between courses, workshops and volunteering.

On this occasion, Her Highness Shaikha Zain Bint Khalid Bin Abdulla AlKhalifa, Chairperson of AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation, congratulated the students for the successful completion of their studies, and further commented: “We are pleased to witness the graduation of a new batch of Rayaat students to whom we send our utmost congratulations and heartfelt wishes for a flourishing upcoming journey.”

Her Highness continued: “The graduation of this batch is a mere reflection of the Programme’s vision to create a Bahraini society of distinguished individuals exuding with passion towards giving and volunteering. We have sought, since the establishment of this Foundation, to grow a promising generation armed with skills and knowledge, as their giving hands and excellence is the Foundation’s source of pride.”

The ceremony was concluded by honoring the graduating students and taking commemorative photos with Her Highness Shaikha Zain Bint Khalid AlKhalifa and members of the Board of Trustees and members of AlMabarrah AlKhalifia.

In means of corroborating the values of giving and sense of belonging to the country, “Rayaat” Scholarship Programme requirements include the completion of 30 hours of volunteer work for each student during each academic year. “Rayaat” students also took part in the distribution of Ramadhan supplies to needy families and organized a fun event for the children of Alia for Early Intervention Center. Students also organized a fun day for the students of the Saudi Bahraini Institute for the Blind, in addition to many events dedicated to reinforcing the habit of giving back.

It is worth mentioning that the graduates of “Rayaat” Scholarship Program have enrolled in a number of courses and workshops in various fields, including boosting self-confidence, self-assertion, public speaking skills, management and communication with others and English Language, making them fully prepared to enter the labor market.
