Manama, Bahrain July 2016: The third edition of AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundationsummer training program kicked-off with a total ofsix students enrolled across a number of leading companies in the Kingdom.
The training program is in line with the foundation’s strategy which focuses on providing students with the opportunity to experience a professional working environment. The six students taking part in the summer training program are a part of the foundation’s ‘Rayaat’ scholarship program.
The summer training program started in various companies such as Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco), American Cultural & Educational Center, King Hamad University Hospital, Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC) and the Royal Charity Organization. Students will undergo training across five main departments; Marketing, Operations, Human Resources, Public Relations and Finance.
“Al Mabarrah Al Khalifia Foundation is committed to fostering the next generation of youth equipped to succeed in the workplace. Our main aim, through the Rayaat program, is to educate and train students with the best practices and expertise required in order to face any future challenges in the real world,” said the foundation’s chairperson,Shaikha Zain bint Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa.
“Rayaat is a comprehensive and integrated scholarship programthat focuses ondeveloping the interpersonal and soft skills of the Bahraini youth,providing them theopportunity to enroll in an accredited university and continuously taking part in on-the-job training programs across the private and public sector. Our main aim is to develop a pool of graduates who are groomed to be ‘work-ready’ employees,” added Shaikha Zain.
The “Rayaat”scholarship program,launched by AlMabarrah AlKhalifiaFoundation in 2011, aims to empower students by equipping them with the required knowledge, skills and work ethics.In addition, the programaims to encourage educational excellence among the students by offering financial incentives, as well as emphasizing the importance of good citizenship and national pride. AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation aims to partner up with the private and public sector in order to further boost the programs offered under its umbrella.
