Manama, Bahrain – February, 2019: AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation announced the commencement of registration for its ‘Rayaat Scholarship Program’ for the academic year of 2019-2020. The program offers 40 Bachelor Degree scholarships at accredited universities in the Kingdom. Also, this year Rayaat will be dedicating three scholarship to athletes with outstanding achievements, which comes in line with the directives of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee. This step aims to commemorate the efforts of the athletes through their participation in regional and international sports events.
Rayaat Program comes in line with MKF’s mission to empower youth and enrich their life skills and educational journey in a variety of fields. Students can apply for the scholarship program via MKF’s website from 1st – 31st March 2019.
“We aim to nurture a generation of qualified and educated Bahraini youth, who are able to elevate Bahrain’s positioning regionally and internationally, through enrolling them in accredited universities in Bahrain to complete their education and pursue a higher qualification,” said the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees’ Her Highness Shaikha Zain bint Khalid Al Khalifa.
“AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation has granted over 270 scholarships in different fields in accordance to students’ abilities, capabilities, job market needs, and Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030. We always strive to establish a collaborative environment with entities from the public and private sectors to help youth towards reaching their full potential,” Her Highness added.
Interested applicants can apply through AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation’s website. Students will be granted scholarships upon the completion of a thorough selection process, based on academic achievement, interview, volunteering, and community services experience.
“Rayaat” programme offers training sessions and workshops that aim to reinforce self-esteem, develop self-assertion, and enhance public-speaking, management and communication skills, with a focus on English fluency.
“Rayaat Scholarship” program was launched in 2011 as a comprehensive approach to promote educational achievement and personal development. The program provides scholarships for students to join an accredited university in the Kingdom of Bahrain, as well as offering many benefits including financial incentives, workshops and opportunities, while promoting a culture of ‘community responsibility” by instilling volunteerism and community service within a supportive environment.
