MANAMA, Bahrain – 02 July 2018: AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation hosted a luncheon to honor the Fifth batch of Al Rayaat Programme graduates. The celebration took place at Le Chocolate in Riffa, where 24 students from different academic majors were honored by Shaikha Zain bin Khalid Al Khalifa, Board of Trustees’ Chairperson of AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation for all their efforts.
The members of the Rayaat Programme Student Council were also honored during the celebration for their volunteer work which was carried out during the year 2017 – 2018. The role of the student councils was to instill the students with the passion for volunteering and strengthening interrelationships, as well as create an effective environment for the students based on volunteers and friendly bonds. Commemorative photos were taken during the celebration with the Board of Trustees and the administrative staff of the Foundation.
The graduate of the Rayaat Scholarship Program participated in a number of courses and workshops that addressed topics relating to various fields, including the importance of self-confidence, self-assertion, development of communication and management skills, and improvement of public speaking skills, which prepares them to enter the job market upon graduation.
“It is with great honor and pleasure that we celebrate this distinguished batch of students who have devoted their efforts towards attaining educational success. The graduation of this batch of Rayaat Program students comes in line with the foundation’s mission to create a Bahraini society comprised of distinguished individuals with a passion for giving and volunteer work.” said HH Shaikha Zain Bint Khalid Bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Board of Trustees’ chairperson of AlMabarrah Alkhalifia Foundation.
“Since the inception of the AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation, it has been our goal to create a young and educated generation capable of elevating and developing the Kingdom of Bahrain. We wish them the best of luck in all their future endavors” she added.
The program, launched as a comprehensive approach to strengthen national identity, requires each student to complete 30 hours of volunteer work during each academic year. All students participated in several activities such as the distribution of Ramadan aid to needy families, organizing an interactive program for the children of Alia Center for Early Intervention, planning an entertaining day for students of the Saudi Bahraini Institute for the Blind, participating in the organization of the Ministry of Youth and Sports annual Youth City and partaking the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Anqituities’ Nakhool Tent, in addition to other activities that are dedicated to giving back to society.
