Manama, Bahrain, 22 May 2017: AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation hosted an appreciation lunch on Wednesday 24th May 2017 for graduates of the Rayaat Scholarship Program at Links restaurant. The lunch was hosted in honor of all 28 students that successfully completed the program over the last five years.
The appreciation lunch was held in recognition of the students’ academic and professional achievements during the duration of the program, in which graduates took part in various activities within the program such as professional development workshops and community service. Moreover, the program aimed at enhancing the skills of participants as well as helping them realize their full potential.
The event was attended by graduates from various majors, including Her Highness Shaikha Zain Bint Khalid Bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Board of Trustees’ Chairperson of AlMabarrah Alkhalifia Foundation, Ms. Saba Yousef Seyadi, Executive Director of AlMabarrah Alkhalifia Foundation, and staff of the Rayaat Scholarship Program.
“We are honored to celebrate this distinguished batch of students whose success is the representation of the endeavors made by AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation in creating a young, educated generation capable of developing the Kingdom of Bahrain even further and playing an integral role in the local community,” said HH Shaikha Zain Bint Khalid Bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Board of Trustees’ chairperson of AlMabarrah Alkhalifia Foundation.
Graduates of the Rayaat Scholarship Program participated in a number of courses and workshops that addressed various topics including self development, communication skills, leadership skills, and public speaking skills. The program offers students the opportunity to enhance their overall skills and grooms them to be work-ready individuals upon graduating from university.
Rayaat, launched as a comprehensive approach to strengthen national identity, entails each student to complete 30 hours of volunteer work during each academic year. All students participated in several activities such as distributing Ramadan aid to needy families, organizing an interactive program for the children of Alia Center for Early Intervention, and planning an entertaining day for students of the Saudi Bahraini Institute for the Blind, as well as participating in other activities that are dedicated to giving back to society.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
